Tuck end vs seal end
Why one closure re-opens and the other is glued, and the hybrid that does both.
A tuck end closes with a flap that slides inside: the customer opens it and closes it again. A seal end is glued: the flaps overlap and are glued shut, usually on a filling line, and the box is opened by tearing or along a perforation.
Why choose each
- Tuck end: no glue to close, easy to pack by hand, re-closable, ideal for retail cartons that are opened at home.
- Seal end: stronger, shows if the box has been opened, suits automated filling of food and household cartons.
The hybrid
A tuck top, seal end bottom carton glues the bottom for strength and keeps a tuck flap on top so it can be opened and closed. That is the version made here; a carton glued at both ends is not a tuck box and is not offered.
