Solid bleached sulfate is the white board most retail cartons are printed on. Thickness is given in points: 1 pt is 0.001 in, so 18pt board is 0.018 in thick. 14-16pt suits small, light cartons such as lip balm; 18pt is the everyday choice; 20-24pt adds stiffness for taller or heavier cartons.
