Tuck box cost calculator
The cost per tuck box is the listed pack price divided by the boxes in it, so it falls as quantity rises: listed 2 x 2 x 6 in reverse tuck end boxes cost $1.52 each at 250 and $1.13 each at 1,000. This calculator uses only listed prices to find the cheapest mix of packs for your quantity.

Each listed price is the starting price for exactly the size, board, print and quantity shown, as listed on 2 Nov 2026. Any change to the specification, or a custom size, is priced in your custom quote. Shipping is quoted separately and added to your invoice.

Cost questions
Where do the prices come from?
Only from the fixed prices listed on this site: each one is the starting price for exactly the size, board, print and quantity shown. Shipping is quoted separately and added to your invoice. Nothing in the calculator is estimated or invented.
Why does the cost per box drop at higher quantities?
Printing a carton has set-up work (plates or file preparation, make-ready, die cutting) that is shared across the run, so a larger run spreads it over more boxes. On listed reverse tuck end prices, 1,000 boxes cost less per box than 250.
What if my quantity is not a listed pack?
The calculator shows the cheapest mix of listed packs that covers your number, which may give you a few extra boxes. For an exact quantity, another size or a finish, use the quote button and we reply with a custom price.
Is the listed price final?
The listed price is the starting price for exactly the item listed. Any change to the specification, a custom size, inside printing, more than one design or a special finish is priced in your custom quote and confirmed before production. You see the full invoice before you pay.
What share of the retail price should packaging be?
There is no fixed rule; it depends on the product and channel. Enter your retail price and the calculator shows what share of it the carton takes at each listed quantity, so you can compare runs.
