What fits in a 2.5 x 2.5 x 5 in tuck box?
Anything up to about 2.4375 x 2.4375 x 4.9375 in, because a rigid product needs about 1/16 in of clearance on each dimension (rule of thumb). On this site the 2.5 x 2.5 x 5 in size is listed for custom perfume boxes.
Is 2.5 x 2.5 x 5 in the inside or the outside size?
Inside. Every size on this site is the inside space, length x width x depth, so the product fits whatever board is chosen. On 18pt board the outside is about 2.54 x 2.54 x 5.04 in (65 x 65 x 128 mm), two board thicknesses larger on each dimension; thicker board adds a little more.
